The demo account provided by ACM USA is the same as the live account in terms of content. Why is the price quoted I see on a Reuters or Bloomberg screen sometimes different from the one on your screen? Why does the price on ACM USA's charts sometimes vary from the bid/ask quotes?
ACM USA can offer one-click execution because our feeds come directly from one of our liquidity providers. In contrast, the quotes seen on a Reuters/Bloomberg screen are global averages of the world's largest liquidity providers and do not necessarily reflect the price offered by any single one. The same is true for ACM USA's charts: We outsource our charts to an independent company (to avoid price manipulation), so the data on the charts reflects global averages.
If my account balance crosses an account threshold, will my account type change automatically?
No. Account categories will not be changed because of profits or losses. Therefore, a standard account holder cannot graduate to an institutional account because he or she has generated profits that take him through the $50,000 mark. Similarly, an institutional account holder will not be switched to a standard account if his or her equity falls below $50,000 because of losses incurred. Should a client wish to change their account type, they may contact an ACM USA customer support representative for details.
Can you send me rates via e-mail?
No. ACM USA has no system that allows us to do this. All rates are available real time on our web site and on our trading platform. For clients concerned about staying updated on market movements, we also offer account management and trading via a cellular phone.
Why must I pay interest and/or when do I get interest and who determines the amount of interest?
There is no interest paid or received on ACM USA's trading accounts. ACM USA applies a cost of carry on behalf of the market or the customer on open positions held overnight. This overnight cost of carry is presented as a simple flat fee charged to a customer's account. A list of these fees can be found here.
What exactly are Islamic Accounts?
Islamic accounts are trading accounts that observe the religious practices of ACM USA's Muslim clients. Simply put, these accounts offer a flat fee for the cost of carry and are in accordance with Sharia law. A Muslim client, if desired, will not pay interest on overnight positions but also will not receive payments from those positions.
Is online dealing with ACM USA secure?
Absolutely. ACM USA is regulated by the National Futures Association (NFA) and is committed to Internet security and client confidentiality. ACM USA maintains backup servers, firewalls and a highly skilled team of IT specialists to ensure today's safest online trading environment.
